Diagnostic Ultrasound Services
Specialty-Aligned Clinical Expertise
At HI Frequency Imaging, diagnostic ultrasound examinations are performed by ARDMS-registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and interpreted by physicians with expertise in the corresponding clinical specialty.
Our goal is to provide referring providers with timely, clinically meaningful diagnostic reports that support clinical decision-making and continuity of patient care.
Obstetrical Ultrasound
Comprehensive obstetrical and high-risk ultrasound examinations are interpreted by Ruben Quintero, a board-certified specialist in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Quintero is widely recognized for developing the Quintero Staging System used in the management of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome.
Subspecialty Maternal-Fetal Medicine interpretation supports evaluation of:
• First-trimester and early pregnancy diagnostic screening
• Fetal growth assessment and Doppler studies
• Detailed survey of fetal anatomy
• Twin and multifetal pregnancy surveillance
• Complex obstetrical imaging evaluation
Reports are structured to provide clear, clinically relevant findings while supporting continuity of care with the referring provider.
Musculoskeletal (MSK) Ultrasound
Musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations are interpreted by a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Orthopedic subspecialty interpretation supports evaluation of:
• Tendon and ligament pathology
• Joint effusions and synovitis
• Dynamic musculoskeletal evaluation
• Sports-related and overuse injuries
This model supports clinical correlation between ultrasound findings and orthopedic management.
General Diagnostic Ultrasound
All non-obstetric general ultrasound examinations are interpreted by Hawai‘i State-licensed radiologists.
Diagnostic interpretation and reporting are performed by U.S.-based physicians, with reports communicated promptly to the referring provider.
